  • Cappellano Barolo Pie Franco 2010.
    Den har kanskje ikke en nese som gir deg tårer i øya, MEN herregud for en for en sinnsyk vin når den kommer ned i svelget.
    En dybde jeg sjelden har kjent i en vin.
    Lag på lag som brer seg rundt munnhulen.
    Utrolig imponerende og fasinerende.
    Konsentrasjon i tungvektsklassen med en nydelig friskhet som gir den spenst.
    Vanskelig å anslå drikkevindu - den har en slags modenhet i frukten, samtidig så er den ungdommelig med noen sylferske tanniner som kjennes helt ned i stortåa.
    Finish varer i flere minutter.
    Høyst imponerende vin. 95p

  • Wining Around New York; 3/6/2019-3/10/2019 (Various Venues, New York): Opened last night, decanted prior to serving. Ruby mid-third, then tawny. Over the course of 2 hours, I think I smelled every element I have ever smelled in a Nebbiolo. Here goes-pine needles and tobacco, leather, plum, and brown spices. Suffice it to say that the aromas made us swoon with delight. Right out of the decanter, light, mineral, and grainy tannins that coated every inch of the mouth. It did not take long, however, for it to flesh out and show sappiness and ripe red/purple fruit to join the savory pieces. Splendid acidity and those tannins continued to reverberate. A great classic, and a truly emotional experience to try this icon, even if it is still 20 years away from anything resembling maturity. As much as we loved all of the Burgundy we drank this week, this wine and the ‘99 Conterno Cascina Francia last night left the most indelible, haunting impressions.

  • Cappelano Barolo Otin Fiorin Pie Franco 2010. T-bone night i Harkroken. 7 timer i karaffel, akkurat nok til å lade opp til å blåse av deg sokkene. Fioler og roser, lite tjære, bare dønn floral og elegant. Ørlite medisinskap. I munnen er det Serralunga deluxe. Macho, kraft, jernneve, nylagt asfalt og tanniner. Vanvittig stram og lineær. Laser! Snusleppe når man drikker den uten kjøttet. Tunga henger nesten fast i ganen. Fantastisk vin. Skulle hatt noen flasker til begravelsen min. 95p
