Consistent with notes a few years ago. Opening and softening up nicely. Overall good balance, but still thick tannins, especially on the finish. Best with food. Drink 2022-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

Opened tonight with cassoulet. Tannins felt fully resolved, a bit of oak showing, with plenty of black and blue fruits, medium body and enough acidity to keep it feeling fresh.

Consistent with notes almost 2.5 years ago. Still tight in the mid-palate and finish, but this brings good balance, concentration, and dark blue flavor profiles (blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant) set against a red cherry acidic frame. Drink 2020-2028. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

Opened and decanted 3 hours ahead of grilled lamb chops, roasted potatoes, and steamed broccoli. Purple-crimson color. The nose brings candied cherries, red licorice, dried leather, raspberry pie, and baking spices. The palate is full, supple, deep, and textured, bringing a juicy frame of acidity with loads of blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, milk chocolate, wild herbs, and hints of cloves into the finish, which is impressively long (45 seconds) and layered. Extremely well-made wine. Would have guessed Grenache if tasted blind but it did have some Cab Sauv characteristics. Should improve, so drink through 2025.

Still quite structured. A bit austere, but it is true to the varietal and enjoyable. Purchased at the winery and cold cellared since.
