To my relief, I didn't really detect any of the famous 'green' flavors and aromas. If one looked for it, you could find hints of it, but it was by no means obvious or even readily apparent. That said, it wasn't a particularly deep or interesting bottle of wine. It did taste like pinot noir.

Aromatics a uninteresting. Muddled. Not off putting and not showing much green but far from captivating. The flavors are much nicer. Lean fruit and moderate complexity. Needs a bit of air. Saved about 1/3 of the bottle for the next day at which time I had it without food. Without food it's leanness was at the forefront but the aromatics were clearer. Good job on an 04. I am doubtful on short term improvement but could surprise with 10 more years.

Light red in color. Almost translucent. 13% ABV. Dark fruits, stones, earth and bell pepper on the nose. Light bodied and medium acidity. Dried cherries, black raspberry, pine nuts and herbs on the palate. Drying tannins and just the slightest hint of greenness often associated with the '04 vintage in Burgundy. Drink in the next year or so.

Only a hint of the greenie meanies, but it seems a bit flat - is it shut down or tiring? Really not that fun now. B-/C+.
