  Post EdShereen late night session at home. My bottle. Drank in Grassl Cru.
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoky herbs, Lapsang Souchang tea, ferrous minerality, earthiness, dark red cherries. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), strong structured almost high tannins, almost full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, dark plums, earthiness, smoky herbs, minerality, structured meatiness. Long finish.
  Very very good quality. Still feels like it can age 10 years more! Corton that is going for power rather than elegance. Impressive for 2004.

  Perhaps the others who have tasted this wine didn't wait till it was closer to being ready. A superlative Burgundy with a rich, expressive nose and great flavors to follow. We consumed with Burgundian cheeses. Still can use some time.

  this is a very big, powerful wine with strong alcoholic flavours which is reaching maturity. immensely enjoyable but lacking any elegance or finesse
