  In the nose, quite raspberry, slight hint of barnyard, hay, loam; on the palate, darker fruits also show, glycerol, pretty, some acid. With air, nice sharp notes of Vosne spice, more delineation as palate complicates and finish lengthens. Does not possess the tensile spine of great GC's--in part perhaps owing to the vintage? Still a nice find from a small shop while travelling and a real treat to drink.

  Color is brighter than most of the 13s I have tasted recently. Some are starting to brown, but not this seductive wine. Beautiful notes of rhubarb and watermelon rind on the very expressive nose. There is good concentration of fruit on the palate and the soft tannins have begun to integrate. Ready to drink for my palate but no rush if you like more age
