Rockss and Fruit

(Jean Paul Brun "Terres Dorees" l'Ancien Beaujolais-Villages Vieilles Vignes) This is just a great wine. The '05 maybe fruitier, sluttier, bigger, more extract...yada-yada-yada.....but the '04 is in a great place now. When it dropped it was acidic, lacking fruit and just very un-Brun-like. But it is busting a fat move now. The nose is just so soil-inflected that the vivid cranberry fruit is an afterthought. But thanks to it's vividness it is a forethought..but wait the soil-inflected aromas are a forthought. Damn I am being Brunned! The palate is a juicy explosion of cranberry and many other wild-growing berry fruits all with bright vivid '04 acidity.
