  last of 24 and the best - medium red, browning; nice plum and earth bouquet, not in the least vegetal as was usually the case 5 years ago; medium bodied, decent length, nice acid lift rather than former angularity,decent balance, probably time to drink up, though I was surprised how well this bottle showed against Figeac 98. Very good plus (16.5/20).

  2 bottles
  1st bottle. Nose suggested a bit of decay, but developed nicely. Color still burgundy reddish with copper rim. Taste developed hugely from strong pepper (almost cork like as well)to well balanced, nicely structured reasonably rich and long.
  2nd bottle. Much more accessible nose, color further developed towards coper tones. Taste was definitely less interesting compared to the first bottle. Flat, not very rich in structure but still long.

  still vigorous colour .nose and palate still plenty of life but wine a bit dull. Pleasant but no more.
