  The colour is darker than I expected. Gave the wine around three hours of air. Quite a heady intoxicating nose with hints of earth and mushroom but not many floral aromatics. Deep and rich on the palate. A touch on the heavy side. Tannins fully resolved. In the drinking window now for me and I don’t see improvement with age. In fact I think it will start to fall away in a couple of years. Pretty pleasant straight Barolo and around 10 years old seems to be the time to drink. I have two left so will drink them over the next year or two.

  Clear medium light red. Medium intense nose, forest floor, nutmeg, black cherry, dried mushrooms and roasted meat. Dry delicious earthy black cherry flavours and a medium length dry finish.
  
  Not the most masculine Barolo and I like that. Nice secondary nose. I doubt it will develop much tar, but who knows.

  Medium garnet colour. Leather, tobacco, plum, cherry, violets, cloves, smoke and dried herbs on the palate. High acidity and refined tannins leading to a medium long finish. Lovely wine with more time in front of it.

  Good standard issue Barolo this. Younng but approachable with a good amount of air. Good Nebbiolo fruit - perhaps just lacks that floral nuance that makes some Barolos so delicious but still a good example with a few years of age. No hurry to drink - could develop a little more..
