65 year old Barolo. Acquired 2 bottles in 2008. Consumed first in 2008 and the second in 2013. This was amazing. I had low expectations due to the age. The wine was actually pristine. I assumed that the winery recorked at some point due to the great condition of the cork. The color was incredibly light pink - almost the color of a pinot. There was a great deal of sediment in the bottom as expected. The wine was amazing. A symphony of tastes including the classic tar and roses notes. An unforgettable experience.
