  • Had to think about this as the wine seems to be stuck in between to modes.....It has some interesting notes from red berries as well as some darker notes...but it all really doesn't seem to integrate. The wine is drinking nice , but when you take the money into the equation it simply falls apart. I dont think the wine will get any better.

  • Coming into its own now. Crushed raspberry nose with some cool cherry. Also some oriental spices. Deep fruit and good acidity.

Seems to have started awakening after a long slumber.

  • Very light in color, almost like a rose! Still the color concentration is quite good all the way to the brim. Spicy and very citrusy nose, not very much fruit although it is possible to detect notes of raspberries and vanilla/smoke. Medium bodied attack, not much fruit on the mid palate, some raspberry and cherry on the finish combined with sweet vanilla tones. Quite dry and a bit astringent in the aftertaste, although there is some fruit beneath the somewhat rustic and dry overall impression. Probably past it's prime. An "off" bottle?

  • Clear, transparent ruby with hints of brown at the rim. Expressive nose of sweet dark cherries and stewed strawberries at the front, after a while in the glass tones of iron and vanilla/smoke emerges. Medium to full bodied attack, fine acidity kicks in early together with a sweet, almost stewed (like jam) fruit dominated by red berries. The sweetness is well balanced by acidity, while the aftertaste is complemented by a specter of spice tones (vanilla, cloves and cardamom). Medium length with a hint of warmness. Very good wine, but somewhat uninspiring. Probably at its peak right now, but will keep for at least a decade. I don't think it will deserve a higher score, but it will clearly develop more tertiary aromas.

  • Pale ruby. Cherry and licorice. Mid+ tannins and medium acidity. The palette and nose are identical. Not a complex wine. Will save my last bottle for a few years.
