dark purple in colour. Initial nose of cedar, dark fruits with palate of cassis & spice. Little less spice/little more heat than say Ozzie shiraz but tannins well integrated and decent finish.

Popped and poured. Deep color, almost purple. Nose of jam, maybe black currants, somewhat faint. Fairly acidic with soft tannins; notes of dark cherry and blackberry on the palate, maybe some spice, very fruity long finish. Not terribly complex but a nice drinker!

d'Arenberg is rapidly becoming one of my favourite Aussie wineries, producing excellent wines at a variety of price points. This wine is no exception. Cedar, vanilla and currants on the nose. Medium weight with a spicy, cedary palate featuring currants and a bit of plum. Fruity but without being a fruit bomb. Heartily recommended.

The wine was soft, and easy to drink by it self, nothing to remember though about it.
