Tasted blind. The color is ruby, medium (+) in intensity. The nose is earthy, with red fruit, tea leaf and subtle oak spice aromas. The nose is developing and complex. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity and tannins. This is a pretty serious wine for being only $20.00. It is drinking well now but several years of aging potential left. 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. It won a Double Gold at the 2016 Houston Rodeo Uncorked International Wine Competition. I possibly like it better than the 2010.

Bright young dusty chianti fruit with lots of a acidity on the front. Wildflowers and red fruit on the front. Dusty terroir peers through in the middle. Has some limestone character and a hint of cola but kept with a darker black cherry note in the middle and finish. Finished quite the acidic one too. Complex little wine....very nicely done. 14.5 abv. Usually can't get excited about a Kendall Jackson Italiano collaboratage, but this is one instance where the marriage worked out very well. As this one sits and opens, it develops a darker finish with more tobacco and ash. Nice wine, and still has a few years left.

Very solid wine... great with food but drank well as an aperitif. Drinking very nicely but will withstand some bottle time.

For a Chianti this one needs food with it . Heavy tannis and a strong tobacco nose . Good . Would but again .

BTG @Belotti; good mix of slightly sweet red currant and rhubarb. Very nice, though already approachable for a riserva
