still very young, needed along time to open up. Excellent structure. A beautiful, classic Riesling that is very pleasurable now with air and proper food, but it seems like a wine destined for greater things with more time.

Opened at a BBQ so no specific note, but was a total hit among the non-geeks. "This is delicious. Wait, it's a German Riesling? I thought they were all sweet?" I loved it too.

Halfway between greenish yellow and pale gold. Slow legs. Smells like an older Riesling, although without any petrol notes yet. Lemon and tons of wet rock on the nose, followed by a bit of ripe pineapple. Attack is steely and acidic, mid-palate has a slight sweetness and a somewhat oily texture. Full-bodied. Finish is long, first a very intense flavour of fermented pineapple with a biting sense of acidity. Then it's only the sense of powered rock on my tongue, with acidity waving good-bye from somewhere further away. I love this. By the way, I've stood atop this spectacular steep plot on top of a hill, with ungrafted, 100-year-old vines. 50+4+8+22+9=93

Nice aroma was quite promising, but more than usual bitterness was not what I like in Rieslings.

a solid, nice dry wine.
But, not my favorite GG out there. Comes across as a bit too acidic for me with not enough balance of fruit or complexity.
