  Candied apple, sage, mirabelle plum, pastry, lemon juice, apricot-focused long finish. Rich palate, less expressive nose.

  Lovely Riesling. Not at all demonstrative, but subtly complex. Orange blossom, Cointreau and grapefruit pith on the nose, with more bitter grapefruit on the palate, a stoniness, and pretty high acidity. Delicious, mouthwatering, saline finish, like a tonic. This was decanted around 15 minutes before we started it, but probably didn't need it; on the other hand, the wine didn't really change during five hours in the decanter, and I think it was just at the beginning of a long drinking window.
