Very nice, grapefruit, lime and an appealing bitter finish of citrus pith. I can’t help but feel that this would benefit from a little residual sugar to fill in the framework a bit as this doesn’t completely succeed as a dry wine but it’s still a good and enjoyable GG.

Really lively nose of passion fruit, fresh green herbs and soursop. Has some rich fruit upfront, this is soft textured and supple. The rich fruit midpalate gives a false impression of sweetness, whether true or not this comes across just off dry.

Mike's Riesling Dinner (The Glasshouse): Very good wine. Sinuous and lifted, energetic nose. Lovely balance on the palate between lemon sherbet at the beginning and end, and creaminess on the mid-palate - reminiscent of SA Chenin Blanc. Surprisingly good match for pasta with a truffle and parmesan sauce.

PNP into white wine glass (“Leaf” day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Very detailed sweet spices and stone fruits and citrus fruits.
Highly mineral and amazingly enjoyable as always consistent with the producer’s style.
94 points.
