  • Final bottle from a 3 pack. Last had this wine about 2.5 yrs ago. Paired today with grilled ribeyes and roasted potatoes.
It seems quite mature at this point, but not OTH.
Nicely ripened blue and red fruits, with a peppery, charcoal-y topnote, and some nice gravel and soil flavors to round out this relatively serious, delicious CdP.
Good level, medium acidity, with resolving tannins and a medium length finish. Drink over the next few years, will not likely further improve.

  • Medium ruby in appearance. Almost opaque. Very little lightening.

Pronounced and fully evolved aromas of red fruits, cherry liqueur, baking spice and herbal elements (thyme etc.). Very impressive and fresh nose.

Full bodied with wonderful mouthfeel and and excellent flavor concentration. Long and savory finish.

Not that much structure and acidity remaining, so likely time to drink up.

  • My luck finally ran out with this cuvee after 4 or 5 great bottles from a 1/2 case purchased on release. This one still had a decent core of fruit, but was unfortunately oxidized and pretty well cooked.

Grenache at age 10 + is always a crapshoot and unfortunately no luck with this one....

  • 3rd bottle of a half case purchased on release and first bottle tasted in about 5 years.

The wine has put on some great weight and concentration and is drinking extremely well now. Bursting with red fruits, cherry liqueur, baking spice and lots of herbal elements that were not present 5 years ago.

Full bodied with enough acidity and structure to keep things fresh. Finishes medium plus to long.

Just a delicious wine at this point and a great value to boot. Drink now or old for another 5 years with no worries.

  • Deep ruby in appearance. Totally opaque with just a bit of lightening at the rim.

Fully mature nose of candied red fruits, baking spice, vanilla and Provencal herbs. This is just a gorgeous nose with no sign of fatigue 11 years on.

Full bodied with fully resolved tannins and and a touch of acidity. Gorgeous mouthfeel and great flavor concentration. The finish is medium plus.

Overall a very well made and fresh wine. Given the low level of acidity I would opt to drink up , but I wouldn't be surprised if this was still drinking well in 5 years.
