  • 100% Riesling

Golden amber color. Sign of age. Clear and transparent.

Aromatics is gorgeous. Mix of iron core, clean and well-oiled machine, mineral, ripe orchard fruits, bee wax, honey comb, some baking spices.

Palate is lively. Medium plus acidity, amazingly dry but good fruited profile. Asian pear, Red Delicious apple, nectarine, yellow peach, pineapple, lots of mineral components, wild honey. Finish is extremely long.

I adore this wine. Probably my best Alsatian Riesling in recent memory, and one of the best I've ever had. Balanced yet exciting. Daring while classic. This is reaching its peak drinkability and should remain so for the next 5 years. Superb. 94.

  • Bright but rich, talc-inflected grapefruit, green apple, and slight pine flavors. Medium body. Acidity is medium, and some might prefer more, but that's a minor quibble. Very good.

  • This was a beautiful young Riesling from Alsace. Mild to moderate acidity with round fruit but not sweet. I preferred it on the colder side and I think this will improve with a year or two of aging.
