Light amber color with gold hints in the core. Aromas of mushroom, orange peel, brown butter, and a hint of marshmallow. On the palate, this shows its age with mushroom, bitter orange, butterscotch, and hazelnut. The flavors of oxidation here are within the realm of adding depth, not destroying enjoyment, so the wine was finished with the meal. A dramatic transformation from a way-too-young bottle 3-4 years back. Fully mature and time to drink up. Drink.

(Jadot Louis - Duc de Magenta Chassagne-Montrachet Clos de la Chapelle) Young pale gold colour. Lots of oak on the nose but it fades slowly to reveal forward and high-toned fruit. Nice mouthfeel and excellent finishing intensity. The wood is obvious, but doesn't spoil the overall effect. Not obviously mature, a very good wine.
