Medium ruby color. Aromas of cherry, blue berry, strawberry, leather, cedar, black pepper. Medium tannin. Medium plus acidity. It had a high intensity of flavor but felt little disjointed.

Medium red, good acidity, not a hot wine but I did notice the 14% alcohol to start, great dark fruit flavours with moderate tannins. This has medium length. A very good Corton and drinkable at this stage of its maturity. Not a wow GC wine...maybe just needs a few more years?

Medium red colour, good acidity, well integrated soft tannins with massive dark fruit notes, long length with a slight tinge of dry tannin, slight nose of raspberry, this is drinking extremely well now. This won’t make the two day testing ! Just so approachable and easy to drink with great flavours for a lighter bodied Corton.
First at a tasting, then finished with dinner at Smith & Wollensky. Starting to retreat from where it was last year but still impressive. A welcome respite from the harshly tannic 2015’s. Perhaps the lamb chops (which paired beautifully) but the tannins seemed tamed. Nice depth and vigor though.
