Lovely bottle; definitely showing the leaner vintage as I've recently drank some 15 and 16, but this is still excellent in my view; definitely more of a food wine and more classically styled with higher acidity. The nose still shows lovely red berry fruits, some spice and floral notes, a hint of black tea. Palate with juicy acidity and feels taut and linear. Not for the long term, but quite pleasant now with dinner.

PnP. Very light ruby in the glass. The nose on this is pretty. I get deep dark spicy earth along with a light savory smoky quality to it. Light to medium in body palate has very fine delicate tart red fruit and cranberry. Quite vivacious acidity. Finishes with some damp tea leaves. I know Eyrie is more restrained as a rule but if the fruit here was a tad riper (vintage to blame?) this would be really good.
Palate is more open on night 2 for sure, indicating that while this may never be truly great, it could use some time or some air.

Another lovely bottle of this; the nose is floral and red fruit (almost candied strawberry) driven with hints of lavender, and a cherry pastille note. The palate is elegant and refined as usual and quite delicious. Finish lingers 30 seconds. Should be good for another 5-10 years easily.

Very good as usual. A lovely nose of red berries and spice, violet, and hints of sanguine. The palate is quite tasty with good depth and energy, good balance, and a suave finish.

Excellent wine with bracing acidity. Tertiary flavors starting to develop, strawberries wrapped in mushrooms. Decant for at least an hour to wake.
