Amazing. And I have to give credit to the great folks at Chambers Street Wines in NYC. They push the idea of taking older Barolos, and doing massive 6-8 hour decant, which I did here. Super light brick color, and the bottle had about 1/2" of gunk in the bottom. The wine left was super soft, and so beautiful. Nose had plum, tobacco, and dried fruit. Long 45-second palate with classic Nebbiolo notes, but with so much secondary going on. Really was blown away how beautiful an older (non Riserva!) Barolo could be. And years left. Thank you Chambers folks!!
