  • Red berries, rose petals, truffle, vanilla, tobacco, leather, wet earth with hint of menthol on the nose. It is dry with dusty roses, fresh red berry fruit and chocolate notes on the palate with firm and grippy tannin and acidity. Elegant!

  • The wine was garnet with light ruby highlights. It was 13.4 % alcohol had some sediment the leggs were thick and sticky indicating high viscosity.
The nose was wonderful and complex with black licorice, roses, overripe red fruits, underbrush, and vanilla. There was quite a bit going on.
The palate was underwhelming, The wine was dry with tight tannins and sharp acid. I tasted no fruit but cigar box, earth and maye time needles. It paired well with chocolate but was not good on its own. The wine needs at least 4 more years in the bottle.

  • Decanted for 2 hours. Then for another hour as it wasn't open yet.

Classic note of rose. Harsh tannins that softened over time but where still high even after 3 hours.

  • PnP. Immediately accessible on the nose, hasn’t shut down
Aromas of cigar box, some spices, bruised red fruits, and earth. However there’s nothing spellbinding or magical about this wine. There is some subtle, pleasant, VA on the nose too.
The palate is elegant rather than powerful. Good fruit concentration. Slightly grainy tannins.
I think this is best drunk within the next 5 years rather than cellared long term.
    Very good length.
