  This wine far exceeded my expectations and this was clearly the right time to drink it...
  Despite the reportedly poor vintage, this wine had held up just wine. As with most older Nebbiolos, the color was fairly pale and slanted towards brick, but there was no undue aging after 26 years.
  The acidity from this cool vintage came through but the wine showed nice texture and a remarkable overall balance. Not likely to find any more of these...
