From Magnum. Very tight still. Served too cold by the host (out of the fridge), so it comes across a bit surly and with an unbalanced tartness and thinness to the body. As it warms up to room temp over an hour, it unfurls some delightful gruener aromatics of green apple, honeysuckle and unripe peach. It is very fine-boned in structure, with crystalline minerals, almost fragile seeming, with the malic tartness dialed back but still lurking in the background. Long and more-ish finish. Still needs time, and don't serve colder than cellar temp.

Weygandt Tasting (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Love the energy, minerality, spiciness, and zesty fruit here. Lots of peaches and limes with white pepper, slate, chalk and honeyed white tea. Loving this now but would love to see it in three to six years.

Not sure where the 90 point rating average is coming from but this outstanding wine falls just short of exceptional. Ripe stone fruits, subtle flowers, hints of botrytis and autolytic flavors of brioche, white pepper, cinnamon and earthy/mineral element make up a truly pleasurable droning experience. The wine has a great sense of inner harmony and balance and is ready to drink right away. A great example of high quality Wachau wine. Definitely recommended!

Blend from numerous sites that isn’t made in every vintage. Fresh stone fruit, citrus, sage/thyme and wet stone. Almost tastes like a Riesling. Smooth and drinkable.
