Lucky bottle find digging in the Yomo basement. Drank as Asakusa. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoked meat, iron, earth, rustic dark spice, dark red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of salt and stone mineral, iron, bitter earth, rustic dark spice, meat, dark red cherries and ripe berries. Long finish with more of the bitter earth and rusticity lingering. With more air, it clams up. Nice nose, just the palate not showing so well. Not sure how it will emerge with more age development.

Darker and smokier than the previous with more hardness but the perfume just jumps out of the glass. Scott is blown away in a way where he means it.

Its got more spice on the nose. That salt and pepper thing of the Bourgogne in a way, but amplified. Needs more swirling. Really great on the palate.
