Rated this a 91 about a year ago and this wine remains a solid 91. We didnt decant just drank small pours to taste the wine as it opened up. Still lots of legs left in this one. I would hole for another year...if i had another bottle that it. Honestly the strawberries have given way to more of the small fresh blueberries and just a hint of cherry. Still a bit of earthiness on the palate, which I enjoy so much.

This took atleast an hour to open up but when it did, it opened up to strawberries and earth. This is a great example of a good willamette pinot. berries and just a hint of vanilla. Very earthy with a finish of sweetness. almost like dropping your cotton candy on the ground and finishing it anyway.

Decanted for two hours. Dark violet, cloudy, medium-to-heavy body. Interesting nose features herbal notes with black cherry and caramel. Palate is just thin, tannic, light on dark fruit, cedar, leading to menthol-heavy finish. Not sure I'd guess this was an Oregon Pinot if I'd had it blind, and I'm not sure I'd buy it again. Disappointing compared to the 2002.
