Fully saturated dark red hues and active legs. Aromas of black cherries, tobacco/mulch, and white pepper. Dark fruits, ample but smooth tannins, well-balanced acidity, and overall a muscular interpretation of pinot. Not my preferred style, but unimpeachable in the execution. QPR doubtful due more to the P than the Q.

Red berry and cherry, fairly prominent oak (at least for me and what I normally drink), some mushroom, slight spice. Medium body, medium acid, fine grained tannins, but they're still slightly drying in the finish. It's clean and well made but stylistically, I'm not a huge fan. The oak is bit heavy and kind of has that barrel room oak smell. Again, nothing wrong with it, but it's not really my thing (I also get some of what another taster noted as "old campfire" which is a great descriptor). Picked it up on sale at an upscale supermarket that was having a 30% sale on OPN several years ago. For the $28 I paid, I like it well enough and enjoy it even though it's not completely a style I like. For full retail of $40, I'd think twice. But again, my complaints are stylistic, not technical. It can a few more years, but is in a nice place right now.

Clear medium nose. Intense cherry, berry and earth notes in the nose. Dry rich spicy cherry flavours and a nice medium length dry finish.
Impressive.
