Quite expressive with a wild, sauvage edge. There's notes of musk, briary summer fruits, earth and a whiff of passionfruit skins. It has plenty of flavour and finishes with real tang and freshness.

A private dinner (Wine Bar Le Flacon, Bordeaux): A blend of 1/3 Pinot Noir and 2/3 Gamay. Youthful cherry red, light colour, lilac rim; more than a hint of reduction on the (otherwise aromatic) nose, field flowers and ripe red cherries, fresh and mineral; silky and juicy palate, soft yet fresh, lovely balance, elegant weight (12.5% ABV), just the right level of phenolic grip, peach and ripe green apple; bright flavours, good length. Once again a lovely, charming, Passetoutgrains, may gain another point in a few years' time.

Fantastic exotic nose, and comparatively weak palate.
Still a great value wine.

This wine was not good. Kicking myself for letting a salesman talk me into it. Glad I cleared up space in the cellar for something better.
