Carefully warmed and decanted. Slight fading in coloration around the edges, but overall still holding up super well colour-wise.
Intense spicy dried plum notes on the nose. Licorice allsort favours dominate the front of the palate, along with an oaky sweetness. Big mid palate with a long, lingering back-palate sweetness.
In its prime rather than past it at 13 years age. Very happy to have cellared this one.

The sweet fruit flavours of young Shiraz had well and truly passed for something that was nicely balanced but certainly at its peak. Cork was crumbly so best to drink any others up.

The nose had lovely berry notes, bright fruit, some vanilla and almost a grape bubble gum characteristic. A little too acidic and almost spritzy with a short finish. It grew in the glass a bit but overall didnt have the depth of flavour of character that was expected.

- Brick color - Footbolt Magnum drinking on song right now. Big berry, plum sweetness and loads of spice and pepper on the finish. Good length and plenty of acidic to carry it through. Needs a big breath, but 1 hour in and she's just right.

Full bodied and drinking well - certainly not past it’s used by date. Long on the palate and good earthy tones.
