Corked. Magnum. Gotta love it. This vintage has been nothing but disappointing, especially given the price. One magnum left and we'll drink this week during CA's shelter in place order.

Purchased a case after having at Phelps release party. We've had and held the Pastorale Chardonnay before and enjoyed it. This is not good at all. Properly stored. Have 10 bottles left. If the others are like this, we have way too much wine for cooking. Harsh, tart and acidic. Very disappointed. Will try another soon and report back.

Straw in color with hint of brightness. Lemon custard, raw almond, and a touch of vanilla and butterscotch. Medium plus texture on the palate with moderate acidity. Nicely balanced, moreso than their Freestone bottling in my opinion. It’s about as close to the oaky buttery style as I’m comfortable with though. In the end, this is well made and perfectly enjoyable California Chardonnay.

Not good. We did not finish the bottle. Unfortunately 7 left.

Opened a second bottle. Same. Not good. Big disappointment, especially given the $60 price. Lemon. Acid. No body.
This is a cooking wine. Debating what to do with the remaining 9 bottles and two magnums. #Fail
