The newer barrels are still making a lot of noise. Rich, relatively young fruit. Its a darker tinge for Zin as per usual and this is pure, single variety. Light tannin. Solid acid. Kinda narrow in expression. I wish there were more tannin to make me more confident about further aging but I'm hoping it picks up more complexity. A nice, 'smooth', pure wine at the moment. Likely to please lots of audiences.

This bottle had the usual exotic spice and fruit initially but seemed to lose that fast. Still had the mountain zin flavors that I love but I just wish that that exoticness lingered longer. Deep, dark focused berry fruit.

Always a fan of Jimsomare. At its apex. Rich opulent drought year fruit. The tannins have resolved while the remaining acidity should hold for a few years. Day 2 ~~~ Nice progression. Richer flavors of baking spice & licorice emerge with a full throated lengthy finish. More continuity and depth than the 2014 Ridge Pagani Ranch tasted along side.
