Vintage Pairs 2010 (Alba, London): Blind. Pale mid straw. Slightly smokey chard nose. Quite light but with depth on the palate. Burgundian in style but there does seem to be some alcohol coming through. Burgundian in style. Classy California? ***1/2

Dinner at Scott's -- Showed well with awesome crab gratin dish. The oily nuttiness, creosote, almond worked well. A tad lean on the palate, and not as nuanced as I would like, but a great food match.

Canning party AC's Brenda etc -- Showing pretty ripe with a bit of development. Not as silky and nuanced as we would have hoped, but some nice oily nutty fruit and a touch of citrus.

(Dujac Morey St.Denis Les Monts Luisants) Lovely nose with grapefruit and banana notes. Good acidity and reasonable volume in the mouth. There’s reasonable length, but I find the wine a little bland, perhaps the fact that the wine’s only been in bottle for two weeks is to blame.

Advancing pretty rapidly. Rich and intense. Enjoyable now, but likely will not last long.

This has developed nicely since my last bottle. Open and drinking well, with a bit of a California Chard note. Drink now.
