From magnum. Wet rocks, white floral notes, and faint petrol initially on the palate. Spreads well across the mid-palate, lacking just some of the edge needed to be a very good wine

Role Reversal Lunch at La Paulée-Dujac Whites (Monts-Luisants) and Lafon Reds (Quince, San Francisco): Magnum. Medium yellow. Sulfur and herbs on the nose with increasing florality. Lovely, silky, middle weight feel with surprisingly powerful acidity to balance the fruit. Less citrus than many of the others. Here the sulfur does not interfere with the flavors. Elegant and delicious with beautiful cut across the palate.

well made but not my style, this was rounded and creamy, i didn't get as much of the tension / acid as others, good minerals and honey overlay, well enjoyed by all but not what i'm looking for in a white burg, happy to have had it as i had never had a white from MSD before

Dinner at RY's (Vancouver, BC): Served blind. Another tightly wound and mineral-infused white Burg (or so it seems) with riper stone fruits and bits of fresh citrus. Snappy acidity paired with fleshy apple and citrus flavours. Focused and detailed on the finish. I had no idea what this was but it was really, really good. Drink or hold.

Lovely soft elegant white...chalky mineral especially at the end. Cafe Boulud.
