Being able to pull a wine like this from your cellar after 32 years is what it's all about, i'n'it? Still quite pale in color, intense, broad, rich but balanced with still good acidity, mineral. An immortal wine (fortunately as there is another bottle to drink). Cellared since original release.

1985 Leonard Zind-Humbrecht Rangen de Thann Clos St. Urbain Tokay-Pinot Gris. Incredible richness, smoky, slighty sweaty and skanky exotic fruit, a true Grand Cru. Real acid thrust and power, lingering a very long time. Decisively dry, with a wonderful wintertime lushness and richness. Definitely one of the best wines I've had this year. In no way too old.
