New releases from Chile and Australia: This bottle was a textbook example of multiple wine flaws. The wine was heavily loaded down with Brettanomyces to the point of overwhelming any fruit or other elements. And to top it all off, volatile acidity was high. What a total mess.

Not great - very inky, dark, past-its-prime plum, and graphite. Fermented, gamey stems. Old rubber. Bad in a bad-grapes-but-not-bad-technique kind of way. (Still bad, but I would continue to try other wines by this maker.)

Aromas of blackcurrant bush and some liquorice. Juicy and fruity and simple.
