  Probably already peaked. Soft mature but not vibrant. Not enough of fruit to meet up with the oak. Not bad.

  Deep purple colour, some smoke and vanilla. As it opened out more blackcurrant and blackberries. Good acidity.

  Deep purple colour. Bouquet was smoky and damp earth. Flavours dominated by licorice, smoke, tar with vanilla (oak). Body was moderate and finish doesn’t linger. Very nice bottle.
