  • Pop and pour. Yum. On the nose: bright red cherry, licorice, soft herbs, cherry pit. On the palate: lovely acidity, good density, cola, cherry pit, blackberry, lavender. So tasty!

  • An absolutely stunning young syrah. Popped, and slow ox for about 2 hrs. The nose is heavenly with pure black raspberry, loads of savory meat and cracked pepper notes. On the palate, loads of red and black fruit, olive brine, salinity, perfectly balanced acidity and body...fantastically savory...finely dusted tannin on the enveloping finish. I'm fairly certain this is the best young crozes rouge I have ever tasted.

Day 2: essentially unchanged from yesterday (was on the counter, unrefrigerated, overnight). Undoubtedly the best young Crozes rouge I have ever tasted, and definitely holding its own in the best young syrah category.

Day 3: maybe ever so slightly faded (again, was on the counter, unrefrigerated, overnight). Wow.
