I wasn't expecting much from this wine. I was very concerned that it was over the hill and that it would find its way into the sink. It was, however a nice surprise for a Sunday evening. Violets on the nose. Light red cherry palate, nicely balanced by softish acid and some tannin. Finish is short. Not an exceptional wine, but easy drinking and undemanding.

Classic burgundy. I've been on a bad run with burgundies which didn't live up to expectations (or to their price tags), so I approached this one with a little trepidation, especially given some of the other comments below. I was suitably impressed however by the fruity nose and the higher toned cherry and blood orange (?) on the palate. None of the earthiness I expect from good burgundies and not a ton of depth to it but quite tasty and not a hint of astringency.

Dark, clear and bright. Intense red fruit on the nose, with a touch of spice. Great balance and fruit on the palate, with good tannins. This wine will age nicely. A lovely wine.

Agree with prior tasting note, but temperature was OK when I served and I didn't notice much improvement over time. I did not decant, which I usually don't for non-Cru village Burgundies. Maybe decanting would help. Everything was overpowered by acidity. Not a complete bust, but not what I expect from Jadot.

More earth than fruit. May be worth waiting a couple of years more.
