Light red and transparent. Modest nose of garden berries with slight hint of oak. Powerful fruit, fresh , delicate and tasty. Soft tannins in a finish with good lenght. Really nice pinot! Save up to five years.

another one of these downed with delicious short rib and root veg in south asian gravy (cardamom, ginger, curry sauce) from restaurant Garland in Raleigh. Still a delicious current of blue fruit running throughout, but needs food to be enjoyed. Not closed down, but may be entering a shrill phase and the acid was a little piqued and there was some bitter ash on the finish. Perhaps best to enjoy soon or let sleep for (?) how long before reaching next stage of development.

This is a superb Auxey-Duresses, and while it will continue to improve over the next decade and beyond, it already reveals a beautiful bouquet of ripe red berry and cherry fruit, cocoa powder and a subtle framing of new wood. On the palate the wine is supple, quite full-bodied and expansive, with great energy to balance its amplitude, and a lovely deep core of fruit, structured around very fine, ripe tannins which gently assert themselves on the finish.

Lacks the exuberant fruit from over a year ago, when it was showing brilliantly. Still drinking ok, but I think it's starting to close down. Hold.
