Grenache peu expressive qui semble déjà fatiguée. Pourtant toujours conservée à 13 degrés dans mon cellier. Rien n’accroche. La bouche est suave, sur la prune et légèrement chocolatée. Les tannins sont fondus mais encore présents. Le finale est moyenne. Malheureusement un peu ennuyant comme vin. J’aurais été satisfait à la moitié du prix, mais à 90$ can, c’est beaucoup trop cher. C’est la 2 e fois que j’ai ce genre d’expérience avec les vins de Chapoutier. J’ai de loin préféré Vieux Donjon 2016.

Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined and refrigerated), note from day two. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with developing aromas of blueberry, black pepper, garrigue, smoke, and lavender. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium+ body, high alcohol - 15.5% abv, with developing flavors of black pepper, blackberry, and garrigue with a medium finish.
Balance: Very good Length: Very good Intensity: Very good Complexity: Excellent
Overall, this was best upon opening, by day 2 the intensity had subsided and the high alcohol had started to dominate. Not sure where this is headed.

醒酒两个小时四十分钟,闻香有红果和橡木桶的烘烤气息,入口酸度中等,酒液咸,酒风甜美,单宁紧致,颗粒十分细腻,红果和酒泥接触的味道,因为室温高的关系能感觉到酒精感强,余味如香水般绽放,漂亮红果味。用自流汁酿造,一款说不上复杂的酒,但却做得如此干净,和预想中教皇新堡的浓重风格很不一样,熟悉的法式优雅,让人不禁爱上,想要一口又一口品尝。
