From a Chambolle lieu dit that sits just east of 1er Cru CM Sentiers and on the northern border of the commune abutting Morey. The wine is labeled Vielles Vignes. Pretty pale red color good to the rim. Attractive nose of red berries, black cherry, white pepper and a little cola, gaining a mushroom-like touch with some air. Not much if any other secondary development at this point, it's a pretty little wench. Oh, god I wish I hadn't said that. Makes me sound about as woke as Rip Van Winkle.
Silky on the palate, dances smoothly to a lithe lightly tannic finish with a good acid kick. Fruit on the palate is lovely but restrained and muted to a degree, suggesting it might benefit from a little more bottle age. Altogether a delicate wine, which if we could deduce anything about Bussieres, would imply it displays a true Chambolle pedigree, only lacking perhaps a shade or two of depth or refinement to make it to the next level. 2010 shines as a vintage again.
