  Drunk in my hotel room in the Hyatt Regency in Monterey. Open 1 day. Strong ruby-purple. This is supposed to be the entry level for this estate. Pretty good in that role. Bramble, herbs, slightly herbal. Decent value. 4-11-16-8: 89/100.

  Brought to an Italian restaurant. Paired with Lasagna and Fettuccine Boscaiola.
  
  Tight upon opening; it improved in the decanter. Powerful and precise. Serious acid, noteworthy tannin, excellent overall balance. More restrained than previous bottles. Still young. Likely to continue evolving for another seven to ten years.
  
  Very enjoyable with focaccia, tapenade, and olive oil. Even better with the main courses, and particularly the Lasagna and accompanying red sauce.

  Medelintensiv blåröd färg. Inga direkta tegelnyanser. Doften är fruktig med en blandning av ung och mogen frukt. Körsbär, blåbär och choklad. Doftar mer Italien än Frankrike druvorna till trots. Fortfarande bra syra, något avrundade tanniner. Smaken är lång och noterna är liknande de jag fann i doften. Faten är väl integrerade. Håller säkert flera år till.

  Penultimate bottle of this elixir...and I really need to hold the last one for a few more years. Excellent, bordering on exceptional. Unique and harmonious blend. Powerfully structured, beautifully balanced. One rarely crosses paths with a 13.5 abv Tuscan offering. Delightful!
