  Agree with Bikeandwine, this was an absolute stunner. I wanted to pull a wine to cook with and decided on the 01 Promis as I thought it would eb a solid drinker and go well with tomato sauce. Was amazing when I pulled the cork, and I had to restrain myself from drinking this all day while cooking. Five hours later when dinner was ready this was still singing. I've had the 05 and 06 Promis and I haven't been impressed, but I am thinking these just need some time to work itself out. I have a 01, 05 and 06 still in the cellar and I will take my time drinking these up.

  It was just an unbelievable bottle. Had a beautiful aroma and bouquet. Very earthy and not heavy on the tannins. Just went down like a perfect wine.

  an explosion of complex scents at the nose just after opening the bottle. At the eye, garnet red showing its age. at the taste, you clearly tell the oak ageing, with typical supertuscan hints of chocolate, light leather, smoothed roasted coffee. Maybe it just a little bit over the hill but still wonderful.

  A wonderful wine! Mature nose with distinct oak character. Prunes, cherries, cut grass, slight cedar and roasted coffee.
  The palate is impeccably balanced with a round, full body. Long, lingering fruit and a very smooth finish. I like this wine a lot!
