Opened the 2015 Solaia alongside a 2010 Leoville Poyferre at a wine & cheese gathering, decanted both for about 3 hours. The Leoville started out the better wine, but by the end of the night the Solaia easily became WOTN. Definitely a great wine, but a bit on the ripe side and showing lots of strong tannins given the percent Cabernet. My thought is that this wine needs several more years, if not even longer to reach its potential.

Beauty - long future ahead. Sensual nose, complex and quite open. Great acidity and length. Super fine tannins. Class

Decanted for an hour and drank over two. On young side not any tertiary development yet. Tannins bit firm. Slight cranberry. Would hold
