Sweet to start, quickly followed with savory and a bit acidity to finish. B.C. has its own style. Buy more and see where these go as the vintages progress.

This particular bottle of Blue Mountain had a rough life in that it was being consumed alongside a 1994 and a 2001 Faustino Rioja I Gran Reserva, and just before a 1996 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey. That is a field of tough completion. This Blue Mountain Pinot Noir, like the other vintages of Blue Mountain Pinot Noir, is always flavourful and delicious with just the right amount of acidity to keep it fresh. I think it’s in its peak, or just begin its descent. Drink up.

Light, pleasant drinking BC pinot with a very fine balance. Neither tannic nor fruit forward. My palate was a little biased by the Anderson Valley Failla pinot preceding it. The reserve from the same winery has much more character.

Several interesting elements of fruit, minerality and acidity. Nice QPR.
