more depth and complexity than I expect in a Portuguese table wine. Very enjoyable with layers of bright black fruit and subtle earth. Almost no tannins. Drinking well now.

Single piece cork,no sign of seepage. A bit disappointing on the first night. One dimensional and a bit flat. Second night more, interest, more alive and full of fruit. Typical Douro blend. Some interest but not scaling the heights.
Hold and see, check back again in 2025.

The purple wine was somewhat wound up but had dark cherry aromas on the nose. Four hours in the bottle wood notes lifted the nose into a cola/cherry expression. On the mid palate. earth notes adds a savory character to the dark cherry and a fairly long finish followed. After a few hours the tight tannins are nicely integrated with the fruit and a bright acidity looms in the finish. As a second wine I thought this was a better wine than the Portuguese Andrezza tasted not long ago.

Retailer-tasting. Inviting if slightly artificial red fruit aromas as well as plum. spices, hints of graphite and wood on the nose. A little closed on the palate; red fruit, red plum, oak, some spice and some vanilla, with good acidity, fine, dry tannin and very good length. Cool and elegant, with good balance. Very good value. I liked it and bought a case. Start drinking from 2022.
