A great QPR for every day wine drinking. Chocolate and vanilla wood notes on the nose. A very pretty deep purple in the glass. Fruity but well balanced

My Grade: VG. Tasted better 2 days after opening under vacuvin which shows that this wine is too young to be drinking now. Great structure (big, slightly rough tannins and great acidity) makes this age-worthy but, right now, the structural elements over-power the fruit and the whole is a bit un-balanced. Leave it alone until at least 2025 (see my profile for grades)

Purchased for $21. I had high expectations for this wine, given the estate and pedigree. Unfortunately, I think I drank this too young. Opened, but not decanted for 60mins. Dark, almost opaque inky purple. The nose seems slightly restrained. Dark fruits, spice, cedar. On the palate, the tannins are definitely noticable. Dark blue fruits, spice, hints of oak. Douro blend of 45% touriga nacional, 33% touriga franca, 15% tinta roriz, 5% tinta barroca and 2% alicante bouschet. This needs more time to soften. Grade: B+/A-

A very Douro body. Drinks a little tight but a couple years will likely make this a big bold Spanish you will love.
