  En relisant ma note de 2021, j’ai l’impression que ce n’est pas le même vin…
  Cette fois, tout m’a séduit, que ce soit le nez ou la texture. Pas chaleureux, ni astringeant, il avait la force des vieux vins affinés par le temps.
  La mûre embaumait et nous évoquait le mourvèdre, (j’aurais peut-être dit vieux Bandol à l’aveugle.), avec des épices, des fruits, à l’alcool, et des senteurs typique d’un Rhône méridional évolué.

  Next to the 96 pignan this unfortunately was pretty ignored. But while tannins were resolved it just didn’t match up to the amazing aromas and palate of the pignan tonight. The modern vacqueyras are all so much better and more powerful due to improved winemaking.

  Decanted 24 hours in advance. A few off notes on the nose but nice on the palate at first. As evening went on the wine really came together with a fabulous perfumed grenache nose and a cascade of flavors on the palate with a long balanced finish. Will decant 48 hours in advance for the next one...

  Tout a fait d’aplomb, très « rhone sud », peut etre trop meme, puisque pas assez « Reynaud »… le temps a dompté l’alcool et la matière, il était accessible sans etre dur comme la syrah, même de 30 ans.
  Cuir, liqueur de fruit, herbes du maquis, il sonnait un peu C9P; a coté du jm Stephan, il semblait neanmoins plus commun.
