Calm and relaxing Napa Cab, not big and in your face at all. Graphite and pencil shavings kick us off, but as the wine opens up in the decanter the dark fruits emerge. Definitely not dead and probably has a good few years left, don’t be misled by the lack of boisterousness!

One of the many bottles to help us get through the COVID19 crisis. Solid wine with lots of dark stone fruits like plums and sweet blackberries. Decanted 30 minutes before drinking. Still has life in the bottle but possibly just passed its peak.

Wine was decanted for an hour. Blackberry, dark cherry, and plum flavors with wisps of black licorice in the background. Oaky notes of vanilla and toast. This dry and tannic wine is drinkable now, but perhaps could have used a little more time in the cellar.
