Decanted for an hour and consumed over the following hour. Balanced and well-integrated with flavors that really enhanced the dark chocolate we were enjoying. Nothing overwhelming, just really good Napa cabernet!

Wine Society Blind Tasting (Eagle Brook CC): Double blind. Aromas of herbs, red and black fruit and barrel spice. Medium-bodied with mixed red and black fruit on the palate and hints of vanilla and spice carrying through the finish. Tannins are a bit chewy. Easy to pick out as Napa cabernet. 89+ pts.

Took advice of recent notes and decanted one hour. Definitely smoothed out tannin and opened up fruit. All that said, lovely moderate rich blackberry, black cherry, red fruit, hints of cedar, earth, cocoa. Well balanced, tannin present as texture, nicely integrated. Good length. Step-up from a year ago. Great with brined, grilled pork chops, Zahav watermelon/feta/black olive salad, garden greens.

Not quite as good as the last one - this felt a little congested.
